TouchGrassATL is an Atlanta-based initiative helping residents turn their lawns and underused green spaces into vibrant, pollinator-friendly gardens. By replacing grass with native plants, we’re supporting local ecosystems, reducing water use, and creating beautiful, low-maintenance habitats for essential wildlife.

Francisco and Brooks first crossed paths in music school, where their shared passion for creativity and collaboration flourished. Now united by their dedication to sustainability, they are on a mission to make a difference in Atlanta. Through innovative projects and community initiatives, they aim to promote environmental stewardship and create a greener, more sustainable future for the city. Together, they harmonize their talents and efforts to inspire positive change.

Francisco has long been rooted in this work through his company, PawPawPlug, which is dedicated to reviving the native pawpaw tree—one of North America’s only tropical fruits, now nearly forgotten in the urban landscape. Through PawPawPlug, he helps communities rediscover this unique fruit while restoring biodiversity, strengthening food resilience, and reconnecting people with the natural heritage of the region.

Together, Francisco and Brooks are revitalizing local ecology by creating habitats for pollinators and other native species. From planting pawpaw trees to transforming yards into vibrant gardens, they aim to inspire environmental stewardship, strengthen biodiversity, and reconnect communities with the region’s natural heritage—starting right at home.
